Lu Memorial Scholarship Application Review Update

The Lu Memorial Scholarship Selection Committee is continuing to review applications for this year's scholarship cycle. We are grateful for the care, effort, and personal stories applicants have shared with us.
This year, we received approximately 1,700 applications. Because of the strength and size of the applicant pool, the Selection Committee is taking additional time to review each application thoroughly and thoughtfully. We know applicants are eager to receive their decisions, and we sincerely appreciate your patience as this careful review continues.
Interview and Optional Video Profile
The Lu Memorial Scholarship will not conduct interviews during this application cycle.
However, beginning with this cycle, applicants who would like to add their voice to their application may submit an optional Recommended Video Profile. This is not required, and choosing not to submit a video will not disadvantage your application.
The Recommended Video Profile is a brief, two-minute video introduction. It is intended to give applicants an additional opportunity to share information that may not have been fully addressed elsewhere in the application.
Your video does not need to be highly rehearsed, polished, or professionally edited. You may record it using the platform of your choice and upload either a video file or a link through your Goal Get It! Account.
Applicants may use the video to share any important context, personal reflections, or additional information they would like the Selection Committee to consider.
Decision Release Date
The Office of Scholarship Programs plans to release scholarship decisions to all applicants on:
Friday, May 22, 2026, after 3:00 p.m. PDT
Decisions will be available in the Lu Scholar Application Portal.

What to Expect
All applicants will receive one of the following decisions:
Offered
You have been selected as a Lu Scholar. Additional instructions about accepting the scholarship and completing required forms will be provided in your portal.
Not Yet Able to Make a Decision
We are not yet able to make a final decision on your application. If additional scholarship spots become available, the Office of Scholarship Programs will release final decisions in late June.
Not Offered
Your application has not been selected for this scholarship cycle. Applicants may be eligible to apply again in future rounds. Please visit our Application Steps page for more information about future opportunities.
