Accessibility
This statement describes how accessible this website is today, what we know is still wrong, and where to report a barrier.
This statement describes the site as of September 19, 2026. We review it when we change the site, and the reviewed date at the foot of the page is the one to trust.
What we aim for
We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 level AA. We have not had an independent audit, so we do not claim conformance. What we have done is build the site as ordinary documents: real headings in order, one page title per page, text you can resize, links you can see, a visible focus outline on everything you can reach with a keyboard, and expandable sections built from the browser’s own disclosure element rather than from scripted panels.
What we know is still wrong
- The two embedded forms. The mailing list form and the contact form are Google Forms shown inside a frame. We do not control their markup and we cannot fix a problem inside them. Both pages carry a direct link to the form and an email address that reaches us without the form at all.
- Tables on narrow screens. Our data tables stack on a phone, one cell under the next, with the column name printed above each value. Stacking a table this way changes how it is laid out, which in some browsers weakens the link between a heading and the number under it. We name every row and column in the markup so a screen reader still has that link, but we have not tested every table in every reader, and a long table is slower to read stacked than it is on a wide screen.
- The application portal. The portal at apply.goalgetit.org is a separate service operated by Goal Get It!, not part of this site. We have not audited it. If you hit a barrier there, tell us anyway and we will take it to them.
- No published test record. We test with a keyboard and with a screen reader as we go. We have not published a page-by-page result, and we will not pretend one exists.
How to report a barrier
Write to contact@lu-memorial.org. Tell us the address of the page, what you were trying to do, and what happened. Say what would work better if you know. If you would rather not write, the phone number on the contact page reaches the same people.
If the barrier is stopping you from applying, write to scholarship@lu-memorial.org instead and say so in the first line. We will not let a barrier on our side cost you a deadline, and we will send you the material in another format if that is what it takes.
Accommodations
Asking for an accommodation is not part of your application and does not affect how it is read. The non-discrimination page sets out the policy behind that.
